Would you like to train and coordinate the care of senior citizens in Cambria County? If so, this is your opportunity to take a leadership role in our team. As an Aging Care Manager, you will participate in formal and informal training sessions which provide the methods, procedures, rules and regulations that govern the program and the internal operations of the area agency on aging to which the employee is assigned. This position will be provided with an increasingly more difficult series of work assignments during their employment in this class. As knowledges and skills are acquired, the difficulty of assignments increases and more latitude in judgment and decision making is permitted. Training and supervision are carried out through individual and group conferences, reading and evaluating records and reports, assignment of professional reading, attendance at training classes, and other training devices.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: 

  • Full-time employment 

  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. 

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS 
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: 
  • Three years as an Aging Case Aide 2; or
  • A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by twelve (12) credits in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field.; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cambria County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
