DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As part of this position, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with both internal and external customers and partners. It will be crucial for you to stay updated on relevant workforce development laws and policies. Moreover, you will play a vital role in assisting employers and job seekers by offering guidance, enabling them to make well-informed choices and overcome any challenges they may face. Additionally, you will serve as a representative for PA CareerLink services, promoting them to businesses, community organizations, and the general public. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential in carrying out your responsibilities.

Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Towanda.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Successful completion of the Career Advisor Trainee (commonwealth title) training program;or
One year of experience interviewing the public to collect and identify customer needs, evaluating eligibility for programs, and researching data to make decisions, and a bachelor's degree;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
