As a Food Service Supervisor with the DMVA, your duties include preparing menus, staff assignments, and supervision of dietary staff and food production. In doing so, you will have the ability to improve our resident's quality of life by providing the best care possible.
Supervisory functions are performed with a high degree of independent judgment and are reviewed by the Department Head or Manager for overall effectiveness through regular observation, daily communication and periodic evaluations. Direct supervision is provided to the Cooks and Food Service Workers through observation of work techniques, inspection of products and adherence to standards Work Schedule:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40-hour work week.
Work hours are 10:30 am - 7:00 pm Sunday through Thursday, with every Friday and Saturday off. Each shift includes a 30-minute lunch.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of paid experience in food production and/or service and successful completion of a Certified Dietary Manager course; or
Two years as a Food Service Worker and/or production experience, and an Associate degree with major course work in food production and food service; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which consists of experience in an institutional setting preparing specialized therapeutic diets, or course work in food production, food service or a related field.
Additional Requirement:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
