This posting may be used to fill multiple vacancies.A Parole Agent 1 is trainee level work in the supervision of parolees (Field Operations) or professional parole counseling of offenders preparing for release from an institution (State Correctional Institution).
State Correctional Institution: Agents work within correctional facilities to prepare offenders for parole hearings. In addition to coordinating and monitoring the status of an offender's completion of mandated programs, they conduct critical preliminary interviews to determine their readiness for release.
Successful completion of the 12-month training/probationary period will result in a promotion to Parole Agent 2 with an increase in salary!
New employees hired or transferred into a Parole Agent position will be required to remain within the appointing seniority unit for a minimum period of two (2) years from the initial date of the appointment or transfer.
