THE POSITION

As the Compliance Coordinator in the product and delivery management area of the Bureau of Medical Marijuana (BMM) office, your role will be crucial. You will report directly to the Product Compliance and Research Division Administrator and collaborate closely with the compliance team and legal counsel. Join the Department of Health and contribute to their important mission of promoting healthy behaviors, preventing illness and injury, and ensuring the safe provision of quality healthcare for all residents of Pennsylvania.


DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Your position supports the program’s mission of providing access to medical marijuana for patients with a serious medical condition through a safe and effective method of delivery that balances patient need for access to the latest treatments with patient care and safety. You will coordinate department review of required approvals for BMM medical marijuana products, marketing and promotional materials, packaging and labeling and more. Additionally, you are responsible for analyzing current operational procedures and making recommendations for improvements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • In-person trainings and potential in-person meetings in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • One year as a Public Health Program Associate 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • A bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
