The Executive Coordinator to the Chancellor will play an important role in assisting the Chancellor to achieve maximum impact on strategic and other matters that benefit the mission, vision, and strategic objectives of the Virginia Community College System. The Executive Coordinator to the Chancellor coordinates and performs a variety of executive and administrative projects and duties in support of the Chancellor and members of the Chancellor’s Cabinet. This position will also collaborate closely with the Chancellor’s office staff and other systemwide leadership.
The Executive Coordinator to the Chancellor will help the Chancellor prioritize and make efficient use of time, manage special projects to completion, research and analyze topics of interest or priority, develop presentations and communications such as speeches, and support key leaders who assist with governmental and administrative and operational matters of the System.
This position will be a team member of the Office of the Chancellor, report directly to the Chancellor and work with the Executive Assistant to the Chancellor as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

Required:
· Knowledge of business management and fiscal practices
· Knowledge of administrative procedures and practices
· Knowledge of project management principles, processes, and techniques
· Knowledge of organization and time management principles
· Skills in researching, analyzing data and drawing conclusions.
· High level of oral and written communication skills
· Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with a high level of trust and integrity.
· Ability to self-start and perform at a high level while juggling multiple priorities in a complex and fast paced environment.
· Advanced critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills

Experience Required:
· Experience supporting organization leaders, including executive and senior leadership, board director and members, governmental and legislative leaders, advancement, and foundation leaders.
· Experience planning, coordinating, facilitating, and or participating in senior executive level meetings and events.
· Experience working in a fast-paced high demand environment.
· Experience using software and technology for process improvement, work efficiency, and productivity.
· Coordinating, managing, and leading projects of various levels and scopes.
· Use of advanced critical thinking skills in a fast paced, high impact, changing work environment.
· Representing senior leadership/executives at internal and external meetings or events.
· Strong organizational, strategic, and project management skills and experience.
· Strong written and oral communication skills including developing and delivering presentations, writing speeches and other forms of communication for internal or external audiences.
· Researching, collecting, interpreting and analyzing data.
Preferred Qualifications:

· Knowledge of government and legislative affairs.
· Selected candidates will be required to submit a writing sample as part of the interview process.

Salary : $76,000 - $96,000
