What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper - Avon Crossings Community position at Commonwealth of VA Careers?
GGroundskeeper opening at our Avon Crossings Community in Durham, North Carolina
PURPOSE OF POSITION: To maintain the property in a clean, safe, and attractive condition at all times, and perform related functions, as required. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Abides by Fair Housing Laws; removal and disposal of all trash from the grounds, parking lots, hallways, laundries, apartments, and rental office; repair fences; work to enhance the appearance of all common areas; clean pool and playgrounds, weed lawns and flower beds, place mulch, prune trees, etc. Routinely inspect all ground spaces including but not limited to natural terrain which may post a trip hazard by a visible hole, divot or any other means.
OCCASIONAL FUNCTIONS: May mow and trim the lawns, perform minor repairs requiring the use of hand tools, clean roofs and gutters, paint signage, and assist other property employees, as needed.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Required: None Preferred: Some prior experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance, including the operation of uncomplicated motorized lawn care equipment
