Job Duties

Join the team at the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) as a Manager of IT Risk Management and be at the forefront of innovation in the public sector. We are seeking a qualified professional to lead our IT risk management efforts, ensuring security and reliability of our technology infrastructure while driving continuous improvement and adaptation of IT Risk Management.

The individual will be responsible for the management of the risk management team in support of the director of IT risk management. The individual will be responsible for the continuing development of the CSRM IT risk management program. The individual will be responsible for the supervision of a staff of IT risk analysts who work with VITA, Commonwealth agencies and institutions of higher education and suppliers security and risk management programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Supervision experience with a highly skilled, high performance security support team and provide work direction to the direct report security professionals.

Must also have a strong working knowledge of security, risk management and information assurance

Extensive years related supervisory experience, IT experience, and information security experience.

Extensive computer security experience in a large multi-technology data processing environment.

Familiarity with the principles of Information Security, Security Management Functions or Managed Security Services Provider Support.

Strong oral and written communications.

Security policy and standard development experience.

Additional Considerations

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP/CISM/CRISC) desirable.
