Responsible for the intake and logistics of facilitating outside hospital requests for patient transfer into the University of Virginia Medical Center. Tasks include: identification and triage of calls to appropriate service lines communication with accepting physicians coordination with UVA’s Medical Transport dispatch coordination with the UVA Bed Center and serving as the primary liaison between referring facilities and UVA physicians nursing and ancillary staff in order to facilitate and safe and efficient patient transfer.

Position Compensation Range: $19.49 - $30.21 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent is required. Graduation from a.certified.Paramedic or EMT-Intermediate education program is required. Associate’s degree in EMT- Paramedic or a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Emergency Services or Health Sciences is preferred.
Experience: 3 years of experience at the Intermediate or Paramedic level with a high-volume career or volunteer EMS system or.3 years of experience within the hospital setting.
Licensure: Must maintain current Virginia EMT-P Virginia EMT-I National. Registry NRP or National Registry NREMT-I certification(s). Must maintain current AHA Health. Care Provider BLS certification and certifications.in ACLS and PALS. Certifications in PHTLS ATLS and/or AMLS preferred.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor’s of Science in. Nursing Degree is preferred required within 5 years of hire date for all new hires.
Experience: 3 years relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of. Virginia required. Valid Virginia Driver’s License (VADL) may be required
