Coordinator for Student Activities and Community Engagement (Clearfield)

The purpose of this position is to coordinate, physically set-up and actively participate in all of the co-curricular activities for the Clearfield students. This position will oversee and help plan, promote and host student programs while completing the necessary budgetary requests and associated paperwork.

This position must be flexible for hours and days worked as attendance at campus events is necessary.

Duties:

• Assist in planning, developing, and implementing of all student life programs, activities and services.
• Attend all events (all student activities including: Fair parade, Easter and Halloween community events, excursions and entertainment trips, etc.
• Meet with student members of the Clearfield Activities Board (CAB)at their meetings and other times as needed.
• Recommend new activities and programs for the benefit of the students and approved by the Clearfield Leadership team.
• Work with members of both the Lock Haven and Clearfield campuses to coordinate room arrangements, paperwork, and funding as well as various joint activities.
• Coordinate CAB officer selection and perform duties if there is not a student available.
• Oversee the Clearfield Activities budget.
• Facilitate the process of contracts with vendors, agents and external agencies.
• Support and build relationships with all stakeholders by providing feedback, constructive criticism, guidance and resource referral.
• Recognize the needs or interests of all different groups of students to equitably distribute student activity resources and raise campus community social consciousness.
• Follows all facility management processes, budgetary concerns, fundraising techniques, organization and reporting practices associated with institutional budgets.
• Identify and relate with community stakeholders in order to promote good standing relationships with community organizations and institutions.
• Consistently collect and organize essential data for reporting and assessment for program improvement.
• Prepare student life reports for various stakeholders.
• Be comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrate a passion for work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Driver’s License required
