Corporate Director of Behavioral Programming

CommuniCare Health Services is a fast-growing provider of long term care with over 90 facilities located in 7 states.

We are looking to fill a key position, Corporate Director of Behavioral Programming. This position will be responsible to effectively manage the Behavior Health population that we serve and will provide strategic leadership for the development and oversight of high quality, cost-effective behavioral services and programs.

The Corporate Director of Behavioral Programming will report to the Chief Clinical Officer and is responsible to provide leadership to the daily operations of behavioral programming for our Long Term Care facilities. The Corporate Director of Behavioral Programming will guide the facility staff and assist in the development, treatment, and methodologies to ensure the effective implementation of all behavioral services for our residents. The successful candidate must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to create and implement programs at the Corporate, divisional, and facility level. Must have the ability to travel frequently.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and oversee CommuniCare’s Behavioral Health programs.
• Assist in the development of program policies, procedures and protocols; research and monitor federal, state and county requirements for new and revised programs.
• Work effectively as part of the CommuniCare leadership to implement program strategic direction and improvement for each facility.
• Participate in organizational planning and work with facilities to plan for long-term needs, resources and program management.
• Travel is required

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related human services field related to education in psychiatric areas.
• RN license is plus.
• Five years minimum experience working with Behavioral and Mental Health disorders, substance abuseExperience with Long Term Care population is preferred, or the ability to learn regulatory requirements.
• Ability to teach.
• Ability to identify monitor and review outcomes at the facility level.
• Oversight of other program managers within this program.
• CPI certified or willingness to become certified and teach the program.
