We are currently seeking a Low Voltage Technology Installer/Technician!

Installer/Technician

Reports To: Phil Herrera, Service Manager

Department: Operations

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time

Effective Date: 1/9/2023

Job Summary

The Installer/Technician installs low voltage cabling, paging/sound masking systems, AV, Surveillance, Access Control and other solutions offered by CSS for commercial and industrial properties. Working either independently or within a team, this position works to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Essential Functions

· Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment

· Complete work order paperwork accurately and turn in to Project Manager

· Develop and maintain relations between the customer and the organization on all customer service and work order issues

· Determine when/if equipment changes or modifications are needed

· Answer client questions on installation, repair and maintenance

· Train end users on functionality of systems

Other Functions

· Perform other duties as assigned by on-site supervisors as assigned by CSS. Participate in on-going training opportunities as provided.

Education, Experience and Other Skills

· Preferred degree/certification in AAEE (Associate of Arts Electrical Engineering), JATC technical training or BICSI installer technician certification

· Network service/installation a plus

· Demonstrates creative and flexible solutions in working with clients and CSS employees

· Familiarity with Google products and Microsoft products i.e. Documents, Spreadsheet, Word, Excel

· Have access to e-mail and ability to view or print service orders. Familiar with Android or iPhone applications for business purposes.

· Ability to handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner

· Ability to quickly develop trusting relationships with customers

· Strives to demonstrate the vision and goals of CSS

Must register with the State of MN as an unlicensed PLT and work toward obtaining your PLT license.

Mental and Physical Requirements

· Has a can-do and self-starter attitude, a team player mentality and the ability to work independently

· Detail oriented, decisive, and has the ability to resolve customer issues timely and accurately

· Moderate physical exertion necessary
