Infant/Toddler Teacher

Early Head Start is a no cost comprehensive program that focuses on the education, health, nutrition, and family of each individual child. We are seeking positive individuals to join our classroom teams and help us make a difference for the children, families, and communities of our program!

Responsibilities of an Early Head Start Teacher

• Use curriculum to prepare and implement classroom activities
• Complete assessments to show individual child growth throughout the program
• Provide daily care for infants and toddlers including diapering and feeding
• Interact and build relationships with children ages 0-2 years of age
• Maintain a safe learning environment for the children at the center and in the classroom
• Help families to access supports in the community and to advocate for their child’s education

Requirements:

• Requires an AA degree in Early Childhood or an Infant/Toddler CDA
• Experience with children preferred
• We welcome and encourage applicants who speak a second language
• Desire to work with infants/toddlers and their families.
• Ability to be part of a team of adults to implement a safe and positive learning experience
• This position is 40 hours per week / 12 months per year.

Pay: $15.76 - $16.95 per hour
