Job Posting for IT Data Analyst at Community Action Program of Evansville and Vanderburgh County
JOB SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for generating reports, entering and retrieving data from the Program’s database and maintaining family files in a confidential and organized manner. The position will also be responsible for systems analysis and recommending changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness, assist with training, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software systems. Other duties include collating and distributing materials, assist maintenance of general office records and other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/GED, required and one (1) year experience.
Proven experience as a data analyst or business intelligence analyst, preferably in an IT or technology-driven environment.
Intermediate knowledge in Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of data governance principles, data management practices, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA) preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inputting recruitment and enrollment data into the ChildPlus database program.
Assist in inputting data for all Head Start components to include education, social services, nutrition, training, parent involvement, volunteer services.
Track hard copies of each family’s file from recruitment through termination from the Head Start Program.
Maintain records of current, dropped and waiting list file in an organized and systematic way to facilitate confidentiality and allow efficient retrieval from ChildPlus.
Facilitate the scheduled destruction of absolute file in coordination with the supervisor.
Generate ChildPlus statistical reports as requested and provide assistance in interpretation of data.
Participate in planning meetings, staffings, and relevant required trainings.
Communicate with appropriate staff to develop and implement procedures to assure that the database system supports the objectives of the Head Start Program.
Assist in training staff on the use, management and production of database files and computer systems.
Assist with computer hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting.
Required to generate and submit paperwork for in-kind donations on a regular basis within the scope of job description.
Work in programs such as Teaching Strategies Gold and School Messenger.
