Full-Time bilingual case manager to work with Hispanic women and their families in the community.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
· Providing direct case management services specially regarding employment and career counselling.
· Follow up with the program classes, workshops and events.
· Assessing of family needs.
· Translating forms and documents for clients.
· Interpreting for clients.
· Act as liaison for educational systems by providing translations and interpretations of school forms, meetings, and conferences.
· Serving as a client advocate.
· Interpret and translated cases as needed.
· Coordinating of resources for needs related to housing, physical and mental health, education, finances, legal, and immigration.
· Providing clients with referrals to appropriate outside agencies or internal resources.
· Explaining and preparing forms, applications or letters in order to obtain services for clients.
· Creating and/or notarizing important documents for clients.
· Creating and operating workshops, support groups, and information sessions around topics that relate to clients.
· Maintaining accurate client files.
· Recording client interactions in daily activity log.
· Collecting client donations and recording donations in daily activity log.
· Completing and submitting monthly/quarterly reports as directed.
· Maintaining an atmosphere of support, confidentiality and ethical standards for all clients.
· Attending conferences and training as assigned in order to enhance job performance.
· Displaying personal qualities of integrity, credibility, commitment and passion for the agency mission.
· Reaching out to the local community to inform them about CARC services available to them.
· Performing other related duties as assigned.
· Assisting with agency fundraising efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School diploma or equivalent (Associate’s Degree Preferred).
· At least 2 years’ experience in Human Services field.
· Excellent oral, written bilingual skills required (Spanish and English)
· Must be capable of working with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
· Must be able to multitask and work under pressure.
· Excellent leadership and empathetic skills
· Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Weekends and Evenings may be required as needed.
