PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Warehouse Associate moves incoming product from points of entry to their respective production area(s) for sorting, baling, or disposal. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure a great donor experience by providing consistently excellent customer service.
At the donation door -- greet customers, determine acceptable donated items, tactfully reject unusable items, unload donated goods, provide receipts, sort and distribute goods for processing, remove trash, complete all necessary paperwork such as daily donor logs.
Deliver unsellable product to the compactor for baling, stacking, and preparation for shipment. Complete all paperwork necessary for resale. Load bales onto trucks at the direction of Management.
Emphasize safety in the use of heavy equipment to avoid employee injuries.
Maintain a working knowledge of CommunityAid sales and marketing efforts, including current store needs.
Maintain a neat and organized work area.
Immediately report theft, injuries, and unsafe equipment or conditions to Management.
Comply with CommunityAids Employee Handbook and any other established standards, policies, and directives of CommunityAid Management.
Work with a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness to meet store needs, including providing assistance with rag out, store opening and closing, and other tasks as assigned by Management.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to pass post-offer, pre-employment physical lift test and drug test
Minimum of six months experience working in a warehouse/donations position
Forklift experience preferred, on the job opportunity to obtain certification
Scheduling flexibility and evenings and weekend availability
Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods
WORKING CONDITIONS: Please Note Lifting Requirements of the various positions will vary from as little as 10 lbs. up to and including 75 lbs. If you are lifting an item that may be heavier than normal, please ask for assistance.
