POSITION TITLE: New Accounts Representative

DEPARTMENT: Operations – South Broadway Branch Office

REPORTS TO: Operations Officer/Operations Specialist

Community Bank of Santa Maria (CBSM) is seeking a Full-Time New Accounts to provide efficient, friendly, and professional service to customers. This position is a “front-line” position that requires a knowledgeable and well-versed personality. The primary position responsibility is to open new deposit accounts for both business and retail customers, as well, operate as a teller when needed, and assists the Operations Officer and Operations Specialist with other duties related to branch operations. Each employee has responsibility to maintain a harmonious and cooperative work environment.

Some qualifications that are required for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Three years prior banking with teller experience/Working knowledge of New Accounts functions and bank operations
  • Must be computer literate (proficient in Work and Excel)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must/Monitor own work to ensure quality
  • Strong interpersonal skills with verbal (including phone etiquette) and written communication skills; able to deal effectively with a variety of people and personalities
  • Ability to multi-task with ease
  • 3 years’ experience in banking
  • Must be reliable and ready to learn new duties with a positive attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
