Responsibilities
As an integral member of the Loan Operations Department, this position is mainly responsible for review of loan documentation in order to ensure adherence to compliance and procedure.
- Review loan documentation for accuracy and adherence to compliance and procedures
- Ensure the accuracy of contract figures, disclosures, signatures and documentation for loan type
- Use the standardized checklist, if applicable, to complete the review process
- Review insurance applications and health questions; verify eligibility for coverage
- Identify errors in calculations and/or missing documentation
- Write exceptions for missing documentation
- Refer major loan violations to the supervisor for review
- Utilize an interface to put loan information on the core system
- Perform other related duties as assigned or directed
- Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion
- Provide assistance whenever necessary to help the Loan Operations Department as well as the Bank in achieving their annual goals
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates Degree in business-related field or equivalent in relative work experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Work effectively under time constraints
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Preference will be given to a candidate with at least two (2) years’ experience in banking and knowledge of lending products and services, as well as working knowledge of the required documentation for all loan types
