What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Process, Engineering, & Development position at Community Blood Center / Community Tissue Services?
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The PED Project Manager (PM) leads project activities and cross-functional teams to ensure that PED-based projects and/or engineering initiatives are completed within scope, budget, and on schedule while maintaining compliance to global quality, regulatory, and clinical standards. These efforts may drive the project to completion or position it for Project Board Review for approval and transfer to a PM outside the department. The PM provides expertise in balancing the competing project constraints, which include, but are not limited to scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Defines the project scope, objectives, and deliverables, involving all relevant stakeholders.
- Develops structured project plans and overall project schedule that identify the activities, tasks, critical paths, risks, resources, and milestones.
- Leads cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
- Delegates tasks to the project to team members best positioned to complete them.
- Manages change requests to ensure all parties are informed of the impact on scope, schedule, and budget.
- Analyzes the project progress and coordinates with the project team to identify constraints and re-align the project efforts to maintain full visibility.
- Communicates effectively as the project point person to keep team members, stakeholders, and clients informed of the project’s progress and aligned with its goals
- Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, including project timelines (Gantt Charts).
- Assists in project feasibility assessments.
- Performs post project reviews.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
