Component Laboratory Technician Job Duties:
- Process whole blood products using a centrifuge.
- Computer skills required to perform data entry and prepare reports.
- Use computer software to create, label, store, and ship blood products.
- Store blood products in a refrigerator/freezer.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
- Entry-level healthcare job
- Paid on the job training
Full-Time Schedule: 2:30pm - 11:00pm Monday - Friday
Part-Time Schedule: 5:30pm - 10:30pm various days Monday - Friday (averages 20-25 hours a week)
- Must be available for Saturday afternoon rotation and holiday rotation.
Component Laboratory Technician Requirements:
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test
- Requires regular standing, lifting, reaching, and bending to retrieve supplies.
- Requires manual dexterity and color and visual acuity
- Follow written procedures with accuracy
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have computer skills
