Description
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for directing subcontractors and field crews. The Commercial Construction Superintendent must develop strong working relationships with customers, personnel, subcontractors, inspectors, and other integrally related parties and will report directly to the Vice President - Director of Construction. Medical commercial contracting is a plus as we specialize in ambulatory surgery centers / primary care medical facilities along with all scopes of commercial contracting. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be safety-conscious, have a positive attitude, and must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee subcontractors and field crews in conjunction with the construction schedules
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects effectively
- Review and analyze plans
- Examine and negotiate change orders
- Review all forms of requests for information (RFI's)
- Regular quality control walks throughout all phases of construction and issue notices to correct to responsible contractor(s)
- Weekly construction updates
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Independently write reports and correspondence
- Strong customer relations skills
Job Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience as site superintendent with emphasis in medical commercial contracting
- High degree of demonstrated organizational skills and problem solving ability
- Respect for details and the ability to execute at a high level with significant independence
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks to achieve project goals
- Articulate communication skills as relevant to the project development process
- Leadership skills, demonstrated by confidence in self and others; ability to inspire and motivate others to perform
- Problem solving expertise, demonstrated by identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner; working with others to solve complex issues
- Interpersonal skills, demonstrated by considering and responding appropriately to the needs and capabilities of different people in various situations; tactfulness; treating others with respect; and relating effectively to others when encountering difficult situations
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Teams, Procore, Smartsheet
- Knowledge of AIA documents (Contracts, G702, G703)
- Ability to work with local municipalities for standard project applications
- Must have a valid driver’s license - company truck will be provided
- Must hold US Citizenship
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Competitive pay, vacation, holiday, and sick pay, 401k, and health benefits after 90 day probation. Company truck and cell phone allowance will be provided.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
