What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Crisis Clinician (Full-Time) position at Community Crisis Services?
Reports to: Chief Clinical Officer & Program Administrator
Definition: Provides in-person behavioral health crisis response to the citizens of Prince George’s County, Maryland.
A supervisory member of the Mobile Crisis Team, leading a team of mobile crisis technicians and/or peer support specialists.
Available schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Monday - Friday, 4:00 pm - 12:00 am
Qualifications:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
Responsibilities:
- Responds to the physical location of a person in a mental health crisis.
- De-escalates persons experiencing a mental health crisis through providing crisis support and clinical stabilization interventions.
- Provides on-site clinical behavioral health assessments and evaluations.
- Implements the least invasive interventions that are possible for safety.
- Performs tasks that provide for patients’ safety including ongoing screening and documentation of risk factors.
- Develops safety plans and ensures they are recorded.
- Facilitates involuntary and voluntary hospitalizations.
- Collaborates with law enforcement, hospitals, community behavioral health providers and other community partners.
- Provides support and crisis intervention to families of those experiencing behavioral health crises.
- Keeps accurate and consistent records of contacts in agency-approved software
- Maintains confidentiality
- Provides information and referral to individuals that are in crisis, pre-crisis, or post-crisis.
- Conducts case follow-up and case reviews.
- Connects to appropriate long-term behavioral health resources.
- Completes all required charting, casework, and documentation on a timely basis.
- Attends and participates in all required training, staff meetings, and case conferences as assigned
- Leads a team of two in providing crisis intervention and supportive services to individuals in crisis.
- Provides supervision for mobile crisis technicians and peer support specialists assigned to the team.
- A team player and must be willing to assist other team members.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the mental health and human service systems in our region to provide appropriate referrals and linkage for clients served.
- Maintains clinical licensure.
- Contact superiors in case of emergency.

- Performs other duties as requested from time to time that are not specifically listed but are consistent with the position and skills of the incumbent and necessary for the efficient and effective operation of the MCT.
Evaluations: 90 days after hire and 1 evaluation per year written on Anniversary Date
