CDC has a full-time opportunity for a Programs Care Coordinator at our St. Paul clinic. This position serves a critical role in the clinic as they support the School-based sealant program, the Medical Dental Integration programming and the Programs Manager. Start date in mid-September.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register new patients for Programs (School Based Sealant, MDI, etc.)
- Create schedules for hygienists at different program sites and share schedule if necessary with all involved stakeholders
- Copy and scan all relevant documents into dental software
- Record all patient communication in communication log/chart
- Attend all School Based Sealant Events w/School Based Sealant team and provide logistical and administrative support on site along with other duties as assigned
- Follow up with patients and guardians when required to fill in missing information and help schedule follow up treatment if necessary
- Prepare materials and files for different Programs appointments
- Attend on-site MDI events when requested to help assist hygienist with administrative and language needs
- Work with Program Manager to build relationships and follow up with interested parties to help coordinate all Programs events and opportunities
- Comfortable driving a large van to school-based sealant events when requested
Hours:
Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm
Friday 8:00am-2:00pm
Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Karen and Spanish preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong interest in Public Health
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organized and skilled at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Experienced within MS Office or other computer software
- 1-2 years’ experience in any if the following settings: clinic/health care, schools, community service, or customer service
- Dental, health education and/or public health experience desired, but not required
- Interest in oral health care/dental care
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities
- Experience working with children and families
- Desire to help people learn about and practice good health habits
- Ability to quickly adapt within a fast-paced work environment
- CPR/AED certification preferred
- Proficient with electronic forms of communication, including e-mail correspondence
