GENERAL SUMMARY:

HFG Trust is looking for professionals that are passionate about helping people achieve their life goals working for the premier fiduciary financial services company in Eastern Washington. As a wealth planner you will be integral in providing Entry to Exit financial support to our clients. More specifically, you are responsible for working with the HFG advisory team to perform a wide range of planning and analytical duties for both existing and prospective clients. The Wealth Planner also provides support to the Service Consultants and Portfolio Managers by organizing the tasks and workflow to responsible individuals.


HFG Trust is a locally owned and State Chartered Trust Company with four primary revenue centers. The first service is Wealth Management, which has been a staple of the companys offering for over 30 years. The second is Trust Services, which was introduced in 2016. Rounding out the services is Business (e.g. 401ks) and Family Office. Our target clients are high net worth and plan oriented individuals, medium to large businesses, non-profits and qualified plans that are looking for competent and independent investment advice to achieve their financial objectives. We are a strictly Fiduciary standard practice looking for credentialed professionals who are passionate about delivering innovative solutions to help clients enhance and preserve wealth.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the planning department and fulfill the strategic mission of providing quality review packets, data analysis, reporting and aggregation.
  • Develop systems and review process to promote efficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as a key liaison and expert on behalf of the Advisor, Service Team and Client in regards to necessary action items.
  • Take ownership over the Post Meeting Review process and ensure necessary tasks and duties are communicated to responsible individuals/departments. Train the team to monitor the progress to ensure the end client is taken care of.
  • Ensure the team has the necessary tools to produce reports and run analysis efficiently.
  • Oversee tax issues, cost basis projects and assist the service team with re-characterization calculations when necessary.
  • Be responsible to train and develop a technically skilled and service oriented team of planners.
  • Assist and oversee the Client Annual Review process as well as the Prospect Meeting process.
  • Develop and implement company culture through the entire department. Ensure each member of the planning department embodies the core values of the company.
  • Work hand in hand with your supervisor to develop systems and process to ensure the departments success.
  • Assist in the acquisition, training and retention of talent to ensure the scalability and growth of the company.
  • Provide retirement modeling, risk management/insurance analysis, educational modeling, estate plan document and tax situation reviews, plan preparations, and providing investment recommendations that align with client goals.
  • Prepare meeting packets for clients for ongoing reviews, and make sure all the information for client meetings is timely and accurate to ensure the smooth delivery of the client material.
  • Attend client meetings with Financial Planners as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Product Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to include emails and correspondence
  • Basic understanding of the principals of finance (education or experience)
  • Strong proofreading, copywriting, and grammar skills
  • Highly organized, disciplined and self-motivated in their work
  • Some experience with Client Relationship Management systems (CRM) and client record keeping and maintenance


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Be willing to obtain a Registered Para-Planner Certificate within 3 years
  • Current valid Washington State Drivers license required.
