Paramedic
Job Posting for Paramedic at Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana
Community Healthcare System is hiring a Paramedic for the Emergency department.
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) or Physician, the Paramedic is responsible for assisting the nurse in the continuity of care for the patient in the emergency department
Paramedic Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides and documents patient care consistent with departmental and hospital policies/procedures and protocols.
- Participates in the initial arrival and triage of patients presenting to the emergency department for care. Rooms patients as directed.
- Identifies and assists with patient needs in the waiting room, triage, and patient care areas. Documents assessments and interventions performed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must possess a current paramedic license in the State of Indiana.
- Must maintain CPR,ACLS, PALS certifications.
- Successful completion of the Community Healthcare System orientation program.
