Temporary Human Resources Assistant

Community Health Network of Connecticut, Inc. (CHNCT) is currently seeking a temporary Human Resources Assistant. Please note this is a hybrid position that requires 3 days in-office per week. 

Important: This is a temporary assignment that will be filled through selected staffing agencies. Please be sure to indicate the staffing agency that you are working with on your application.

As a temporary Human Resources Assistant, you will work with the Human Resources team on a large project which includes scanning paper I9 forms into ADP Workforce Now and uploading the documents into the e-I9 system. In addition, you will assist with recruiting efforts including the following: 

• Posts job advertisements on various platforms 
• Schedules interviews 
• Coordinates pre-employment screening including submitting criminal background checks and scheduling health and drug screens 
• Assists staff or applicants with basic employment-related questions; directing them to the appropriate resource or department as circumstances may require
• Ensures compliance with CHNCT privacy and security policy
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

 Qualified candidates will have the following skills and abilities:

• 1-3 years related experience 
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 
• Ability to manage a large volume of paper documents and electronic files
• Strong organizational skills
• Flexible and willing to assist with various administrative projects as needed
• Must be highly organized and self-motivated; ability to multitask and work with deadlines as well as to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or other form
