Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant II in one of our Community Health Partners provider offices, you will be integral to patient flow and experience. In this role, you'll be a key team member and patient support representative, answering calls to assess patient urgency and priority to taking and forwarding messages. From taking vital signs, to giving injections, to graphing weight, height, and blood pressure, you will support and ensure that appropriate tests are completed prior to the doctor's examination.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required
1 year of experience in the medical field required
Previous experience in giving injections required
Licenses and Certifications
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
