Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (40 hrs/wk) Crisis Support Worker in Worcester County.
Staff at Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention Services (YMCIS) work as a team to provide emergency response to youth and families experiencing a behavioral health crisis in community-based settings including homes, residential treatment centers, schools, and hospital emergency departments. The team provides an emergency intervention which includes the assessment of clinical and support services the family requires for stabilization in the community. Disposition could be referral for higher level of care, collaboration with current providers, referral for services and supports. As indicated YMCIS can continue to provide services for 7 days to aid with the stabilization process.
The YMCIS Family Crisis Support Worker works alongside crisis team clinicians, psychiatry, and other ESP staff as a member of a multi-disciplinary team devoted to linking the youth and their family to the appropriate level of care.
Responsibilities
- Partner with clinical staff to provide a mobile, on-site, face to face therapeutic response to youth experiencing a behavioral health crisis
- Participate with crisis team clinicians, psychiatry, and other ESP staff as a member of a multi-disciplinary team devoted to linking the youth and their family to the appropriate level of care.
- Partner with guardians and family to assist them in engaging in the crisis intervention process, providing support, education, and linkage to community resources.
- Act as a bridge between families, agencies and community supports.
- Assures families full involvement in crisis intervention services including team's adherence to “family voice and choice”.
- Be an active participant in the multi-disciplinary team meetings and case discussions. Recognize and seek consultation as needed. Develop a training plan to enhance ongoing growth.
- Provide consultation and direction to YMCIS in the provision of services that are consistent with “wraparound principles”.
- Provide consultation to ESP staff regarding work with youth and families.
- Develop ongoing family support resources.
- Participates as appropriate in all meetings, training, evaluation/research, supervision, quality management, and related activities as may be directed by the Supervisor.
- Prepares all necessary paperwork such as contact notes, daily service logs, etc.
- Follow all policies and procedures of the agency.
- Work assigned hours, which will include some weekend and evening hours.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
- Grade C02: Crisis Support Worker I: Associates degree in a human services related field from an accredited school and one (1) year of experience working with youth/families; or High School diploma, HiSet or GED and a minimum of two (2) years' experience working with youth/families
- Grade C04: Crisis Support Worker II: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling or social work required
- At least one year of experience working with youth and families in a mental health setting
- Experience in navigating and working with any of the child/family serving systems or teaching other parents/caregivers to navigate such systems
- Current valid US-issued driver's license and ability to provide registered, inspected and insured automobile for work related purposes including travel between work sites
- Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English are highly encouraged to apply
- Must be able to pass a CORI background check
