You must be comfortable with working in a household with a service dog (Great Dane). The individual needs you to play a key role in keeping her mental, emotional, and physical care completed each day scheduled.
Community Horizons is assisting with the recruitment process of self-directed caregivers in Beecher to assist a community member with evening care. If you have a couple of hours to spare , you would be making a huge difference in someone's quality of life.
SCHEDULE:
Sunday-Saturday 8pm-10pm (pick your days)
Additonal hours available 4pm-5pm
PAY: $15/hour
TASKS:
- Assist in providing personal care for bedtime. (Toileting, dressing, washing)
- Assist with transferring from wheelchair to bed/toilet using pivot transfer OR mechanical lift.
- Assist with injection.
- Meal prep for dinner/snack
- Clean up after meal prep
- Provide companionship.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:.
- Pass a WI Caregiver's Background check.
- Be dependable and have patience.
- Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required.
- Not have allergies to dogs- Dog is present in the home
