Victory Prep Academy Middle/High Schools, academic award-winning schools, is searching for STEM Instructors to help build our computer science programming. We have made significant organizational and financial commitments over the next five years in equipment and labs and staff, in order to expose our students to more robust STEM programming including computer coding, engineering/robotics, including a competitive Robotics Team.

Victory Preparatory Academy is searching for an experienced Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Instructor to be a part of a computer science instructional team. The position would entail helping to develop STEM programming, student interest and Robotics Team building. Knowledge of VEX Robotics curriculum, competition landscape, and kit building both entry level and competition a plus but not necessary. Knowledge of FIRST Robotics competition landscape and robot kits is a plus, but not necessary. We are looking for a motivated instructional leader interested in expanding the horizons of some of the highest performing academic students in Colorado.

This position would also be responsible for continuing to cultivate a rigorous and highly structured academic environment, focused on student success. The ideal candidate would be able to commit to learning and growing all instructional competencies including lesson planning, scope and sequence, proper grading and turnaround, assessments, and alignment with state standards for STEM.

Computer Science Teacher Responsibilities:

· Planning lessons and activities that facilitate students' acquisition of basic and advanced STEM education.

· Works directly with school administrators and staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of STEM initiatives and curriculum

· Utilizes instructional methods that translate into tangible student competencies.

· Leading, observing and managing all classroom dynamics.

· Invigilating and grading projects, quizzes, and examinations.

· Tracking and communicating students' advancement throughout the course.

· Ensuring that the STEM labs remain safe, functional, and clean at all times.

· Integrating online curriculum platforms and lessons.

· Attending parent-teacher and faculty conferences.

· Advise students on STEM related career paths and educational opportunities.

· Collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinary STEM Curricula.

· Organizes, develops, and coordinates special STEM events/activities and demonstrations.

· Attends professional development and training related to STEM programs and methodologies, staying abreast of current research.

Qualifications

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline.

· Teaching certification for the level at which you will be instructing or willing to get one.

· Prior experience as a STEM computer science teacher.

· Own, reliable transport is preferable.

· Excellent presentation abilities.

· Strong written and administrative skills.

· Nurturing, adaptable approach to instructing.

· Passionate about fostering computer literacy and academic excellence.
