Urology Medical Assistant

Community Medical and Dental Care, Inc. has been providing quality medical and dental care to the underserved population of Rockland County, NY and surrounding areas since 1993.

Our Specialty Department is currently seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team on a part-time or full time basis. If you possess a positive attitude, exceptional customer service skills, self-motivation, and the ability to multitask effectively, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients warmly and escort them to treatment rooms promptly and courteously.
  • Verify patient information by conducting interviews, recording medical histories, and confirming the purpose of each visit.
  • Conduct vital sign assessments including blood pressure, weight, temperature, and pulse, and accurately record findings in patient charts.
  • Assists with special procedures and examinations including, but not limited to, lumbar punctures and pelvic exams while following appropriate protocols.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of patient information through proper maintenance and safeguarding of medical records, including diagnostic and procedure coding.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and readily available for use.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a medical assistant is required; specific experience in urology is a plus.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and strong computer skills.
  • Possess a friendly demeanor with the ability to build rapport with both patients and staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact sensitively with a diverse clientele at all stages of health and healing.

Salary/Benefits:
