Responsibilities
Responsible for supervising the activities and functions associated with the decontamination and sterilization of instruments for various departments in the hospital.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate Required.
- 3 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or Surgical Technician in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting Required.
- Previous supervisory experience Required.
PREFERRED: Associate's Degree or some college business courses.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSMINIMUM REQUIRED: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Certification from IAHCSMM OR Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Certification from CBSPD.
