Job Summary
Busy Internal Medicine practice seeking a Medical Scribe to join our team. In this role, you will assist physician in the examination of patient by gathering and documenting all aspects of doctors’ visits into the electronic health records, including the patient complaint, the physical exam , noting any abnormalities. review of previous testing, the physiciansassessment and plan of care.
Responsibilities
Documenting patients’ visits by taking notes and entering them in the electronic health records system
Observe physician exam, noting abnormailities.
Ensure all previous testing is in the patient's chart for review.
Electronically send or print prescriptions at the physicians orders.
Include treatment plan, changes in medications for current and newly discovered conditions.
Note all orders for testing and follow up.
Keep notes well organized and completed by the end of the day for physician review and signiture.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent
Previous experience as a Medical Scribe or in a similar position
Ability to take detailed notes and accurate documentation
Strong computer skills
Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements
Highly organized with excellent time-management skills
Ability to work well under pressure
The successful candidate will be professional, have a working knowledge of medical terminology, proficient with computers, able to work with a wide variety of personalities. The ability to think on your feet and conmuicate clearly is a must. We are abusy practice with multiple providers. You will be workingwith only one provider, however may be asked to assist the others when necessary.
