At Community Savings, our Branch Banker plays an essential role in serving the financial needs of our customers and the greater community. We’re searching for a Branch Banker to join our supportive and collaborative workforce. The ideal candidate will have a knack for leveraging people skills to develop meaningful customer relationships – resolving issues, educating customers on digital services, uncovering customer financial needs and goals while also processing teller transactions. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen financial knowledge and customer service skills.
Objectives
- Meet and exceed: branch financial goals, service standards, greeting and acknowledging each customer to make them feel welcome, while complying with bank policy and procedures.
- Serve customers by managing documents, information, and financial transactions in an organized, efficient, and secure manner.
- Build awareness of new products and services while identifying customer needs and goals.
- Work with tellers, managers, and financial experts to promptly complete branch tasks, while demonstrating respect and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to uncover financial goals and needs.
- Handle customer transactions to include but not limited to: Check Cashing, Deposits, Withdrawals, Transfers, Loan Payments, Cashier Checks, Debit Cards, Stop Payments, etc.
- Increase customer relationships by proactively connecting with clients to deepen existing relationships and onboard new customers to the bank.
- Open, close and perform maintenance requests for a variety of depository accounts to include both consumer and business customers. Set up Debit Cards, Credit Cards, and IRA’s. Refer additional business to branch partners (Loan Officer, Business Banker, Etc.)
- Proactively follow up with customers via phone, email, in-person meetings, etc
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required, bachelors or associates degree preferred.
- 2 Years of Cash Handling and Customer Service Experience.
- 2 Years of Sales (Cross Sell, upsell and recommending products)
- Strong Listening Skills
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication
- Ability to work branch operating hours, including Saturdays.
