SCOPE OF WORK:

The primary objective of the SCC Program Coordinator (PC)-Trainer is to develop and conduct field-related case study training for staff in our SCC Division. The PC will also develop and implement a robust training curriculum for all SCC trainees to improve programmatic training material, individual skills, and organizational performance. Will also be responsible for analyzing the division’s training needs and evaluating training effectiveness.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to learn and train the Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT)to staff and trainees.
  • Identifying the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training material in a variety of topics to train and instruct staff and participants.
  • Ability to develop training Modules for various programs relevant in the SCC umbrella.
  • Present information with a variety of instructional techniques and formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
  • Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts, visual materials and training packets.
  • Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual, to optimize training effectiveness, training costs, and programmatic and environmental impacts.
  • Offer specific training programs to help staff and participants maintain or improve job skills.
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with lead staff and program Directors and Division Director.
  • Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities or program effectiveness.
  • Design, plan, organize, and direct orientation and training programs for employees and participants.
  • Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
  • Monitor training costs and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures, if needed.
  • Establishing long-range staff and participant training objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
  • Interpreting the meaning of Information for others- Translating or explaining what information means and how it can be used.
  • Providing guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-, or process-related topics.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.

  • Direct or coordinate production, processing, distribution, or marketing activities of industrial organizations.
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
  • Develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports, to detect production problems.
  • Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports or personnel records.

  • Vehicles-pick-up trucks, box truck with lift, forklift, etc.

Work Environment:

  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
  • Occasional requirement to lift, carry, push and put various items in excess of 75 pounds without assistance.
  • Typically, in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and smells which can be unpleasant
  • Requires ability to work an alternate work schedule which occasionally require to work weekend/Evening/Early morning and overnight

Education:

BA Degree and/or 5 year’s experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.41 - $29.17 per hour
