Community Services for Children is Seeking a Self-motivated individual for a rewarding career as the Transportation Manager. This position provides supervision and support for overall Head Start/Early Head Start Transportation Services. Work Environment:
Community Services for Children requires all staff members provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment. We want to create the safest workplace possible and protect children and families. This is also necessary in order to comply with President Biden's mandated vaccination guidance for all Head Start/Early Head Start programs. Candidates who are selected for this position will have to meet the COVID-19 vaccination condition of employment.

Newly hired Community Services for Children staff members will receive a $1,000 net monetary incentive. The candidate will receive the $1,000 payout upon completion of probation.

Community Services for Children is offering a onetime $75 COVID-19 vaccination incentive for newly hired staff members who are able to show proof of receiving the COVID-19 booster vaccination. The payout will be paid upon successful completion of probation.

Job Responsibilities:

Provides daily supervision of Bus Drivers, including responsibility for coordinating coverage in the event of absences.
Responds to daily issues regarding accidents, breakdowns, and other potential emergencies, including follow up plans.
Ensures that all Redundant Safety Practices are maintained and adhered to at all time. Provides ongoing safety training for all Bus Drivers, Bus Monitors and other staff as necessary.
Tracks ongoing conditions of employment for Bus Drivers.
In coordination with Enrollment, designates children to centers/classrooms and creates bus routes that are consistent with best practice per parameters established by the department.
Organizes and maintains Agency Owned Vehicle maintenance, repair, and mileage records for assigned vehicles.
Assists with the scheduling of repair and maintenance for assigned Agency Owned Vehicles.
Transports infants, children, and families in agency owned buses to daily scheduled programming and planned activities, when necessary
While assigned as a driver, will follow the Bus Driver job description including: delivery of supplies and mail; pre and post- trip inspections; completion of required paperwork; etc.
Provides physical and supportive assistance to safely help families and children transition to and from homes, vehicles and program sites. Implements site specific pedestrian safety guidelines and activities to support children and families understanding in following correct safety procedures for arrival and departure.
Ensures legal requirements are met for the safe seating and transportation of infants, children and families.

Requirements:

Minimum of High School Diploma with at least 3 years experience in transportation; Associates Degree preferred.
Experience with transportation routing systems for children, including knowledge of computer programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Map Point
Ability to manage computerized data systems for development of routes.
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with (M) Restriction and School Bus (S) Endorsement maintained at all times.
Valid School Bus Driver's Physical (form DL-704) and Tuberculosis (TB) screening.
Pass a Pre-Employment Department of Transportation - PA (DOT) Drug test and random
Testing, in accordance with DOT and CSC's Drug and Alcohol Testing policy.
Spanish bi-lingual, bi-cultural preferred, required for some positions.
Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs in order to assist children as needed and move equipment and materials.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals of varying economic, educational and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to communicate, organize, and maintain records, and use technology.
Ability to flex work hours to meet program needs, including evenings and/or Saturdays.
