The Opportunity: We are seeking to hire an ITS Specialist II to join our Intensive Treatment Services (ITS) Team. This individual will provide individual and group clinical interventions for persons experiencing severe and persistent mental illnesses. The ITS Specialist II will also provide assessment as appropriate.


What You’ll Do:

  • Perform need assessments and program development, designing and facilitating therapeutic groups.
  • Provide treatment services, within your credentials and competency, to all participants on caseloads as assigned, under the supervision of the Intensive Treatment Services Supervisor.
  • Perform crisis resolution using the least restrictive intervention.
  • Develop individual’s service plan with documentation on progress towards goals/objectives in accordance with established agency procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison for the ITS Unit and/or other related programs by:
  • Attend scheduled staff, supervisory, and interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Communicate treatment needs and progress to all appropriate professionals involved with care.
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable about agency policies and procedures and maintains behavior consistent with these established policies and procedures.
  • Perform consultation and education/training of appropriate residential, and/or other designated agency staff.
  • This position is full-time (40 hours a week) working normal business hours.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Possession of a Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Recreational or Occupational Therapy or other related Human Services degree required.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness required.
  • A deeply held belief in CSS’s recovery-centered mission.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse challenges.
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
  • Skill in managing time and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work non-judgmentally with individuals whose behavior and belief systems are incongruent with that of society and/or your personal beliefs.
  • Perseverance in goals with individuals who may not improve or may only improve slowly.
