Requirements for the Administrator:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field required.
- Registered Professional Nursing background necessary.

Responsibilities of the Administrator:
- Will oversee the Adult Home and Assisted Living Program.
- Will be responsible for the development of the policies and procedures of the Adult Home and Assisted Living Program.
- Will be responsible for the operation of the Adult Home and Assisted Living Program, for the application and implementation of established policies and procedures, and for liaison among staff and all department of the facility.
- Will supervise all nursing staff and Department Heads employed by the facility.
- Will be responsible for the selection of nursing staff and Department Heads hired for the facility.
- Will provide the training of all Home Health Aides hired for the facility.
- Will organize functions of the facility through appropriate departmentalization and the delegation of duties. Will establish formal means of accountability for those to whom duties have been assigned.
- Will oversee new construction projects and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment of the facility as well as review physical conditions of the facility.
- Will be responsible for the budget.
- Will handle investigations and resolutions of resident and/or resident representative complaints.
- Will represent the facility and promote good public relations in all matters related to the Adult Home/Assisted Living Program.
- Will be responsible for maintaining and making any changes with all requirements set forth by the New York State Department of Health.
- Will be responsible for consulting, supporting, and advising the Chief Executive Officer and the Vice President of Senior Housing Services of issues relating to all operations of the Adult Home and Assisted Living Program.
- Will meet with residents on an individual or group basis to listen to their concerns to always maintain good resident relations.
- Lead the Quality Assurance Committee quarterly.
- Will collaborate with the Director of Patient Services with the destruction of controlled substances as scheduled.
- Will obtain and maintain certifications with Department of Health as an ACF Administrator.
- Will assist and oversee all New York State Department of Health surveys and provide a plan of correction as necessary in the Adult Home and Assisted Living Programs.
