The Senior Treasury Relationship Manager is responsible for cultivating relationships with members and prospective members that translate into new business in addition to maintaining and growing existing relationships with business members.  Directly responsible for growing Treasury services with business members and actively developing leads for prospective business members in our footprint.  Responsible for overall member service excellence, retention, and consultation to provide an exceptional experience for our business members.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for business development growth goals for treasury services solutions consistent with the commercial banking division’s objectives and growth targets.
  • Actively build a pipeline of deposit and treasury prospects, and foster relationships within the different areas of the credit union including retail, senior management, lenders, credit analysts, deposit operations etc. to work toward a common goal of growing the commercial banking division of the credit union.
  • Collaborate with the frontline teams on how to identify treasury service opportunities among members and assist in sales opportunities in the branches.
  • Responsible for encouraging collaboration and developing personal relationships between the various departments within the credit union, and making direct referrals to commercial lenders and retail branches in promoting business members.
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of Treasury Mgmt. solutions and their benefits for business members.
  • Drive achievement in business product sales through active business development activities with current and prospective business members.
  • Consult with existing business members and members to identify needs, propose solutions to help meet their needs and identify other opportunities.
  • Take ownership and deliver timely resolutions of member issues.
  • Develop and maintain a strong partnership with Branches and other lines of business that result in referrals and enhance the member’s experience.
  • Promotes honest and open communication throughout the credit union. Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union’s values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics. 

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance; or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) years Treasury Management sales experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of deposit and treasury management products.
  • Strong organization and strategic planning skills.
  • Effective training and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to self-initiate areas of opportunity, make recommendations for improvement, and follow up as necessary to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve interpersonal conflict.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and ability to develop and analyze complex reports.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ten (10) years’ work experience preferred.
  • Commercial banking experience highly desirable.
  • Experience working SalesForce system preferred.
