Job Description
The FP&A team is the connective tissue between the Comoto family of brands when it comes to financial management. As our Financial Analyst, you will work with our Accounting team to get the numbers right, and with our departmental leadership to get the story right before sharing with our Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. We are very curious and work hard to present the financials and key productivity metrics in innovative ways.
You will be an integral part of our finance team comprised of omnichannel retail pros whose backgrounds span some of the worlds leading retailers including Nike, L Brands, Urban Outfitters, Five Below and Walmart to name a few. It would be awesome if you also come from a retail background and understand the nuance of supporting a large network of brick-and-mortar stores. In this role you will have ownership of financial modeling and reporting, business opportunity evaluation, forecast development, and you’ll be interacting with our Chief Finance Officer, Chief Business Development Officer, Assistant Controller and other senior leaders in the business as we continue to grow as America's largest powersports aftermarket retailer.
Qualifications
Our Next Financial Analyst Will:
- Support the monthly and long-term financial planning processes by analyzing financial data
- Perform financial modeling analysis; collaborating with management to review and analyze the P&L, providing recommended actions to management; and measuring performance indicators
- Develops and communicates annual business plans; identifying expense savings opportunities that impact performance
- Support ongoing financial process improvements by analyzing financial and business information to identify improvement opportunities
- Provide input for business decisions by supporting the development of financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks, preparing presentations and other supporting materials for recommendations
- Assist internal resources to plan and analyze business performance by identifying gaps between business goals and corporate objectives
- Support Merger and Acquisition opportunities
Our Next Financial Analyst Has:
- At least three to five years’ experience in finance or accounting, or related area (preferably supporting retail).
- Attention to detail with a process improvement mindset
- Self-starter with demonstrated curiosity to learn new things
- Expertise with financial databases and business intelligence, software (JD Edwards, Qlik, Spreadsheet Server and Tableau experience a plus)
- Ability to learn new concepts and tasks quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadline requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- High proficiency with MS office, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
