About our opportunity:
As the Claims Representative (aka: Case Manager) on our claims processing team, you will manage pet health insurance claims and the claims process to provide the highest level of service to customers from start to finish. You will provide information concerning the processing of a claim through to payment and answer additional inquiries from our customers and Vetwork partners. During the claims process, you may provide guidance regarding treatment options, refer care providers, and monitor the treatment progress.
What you’ll do here:
- Manage the claims process from receiving the claim through approval and payment.
- Handle all customers with the highest level of professionalism providing world-class customer service
- Provide guidance to Vetwork partners and customers to facilitate understanding of recommended treatments and associated coverages
- Monitor, track, and report on claims submitted
- Interact with veterinary clinics and customers to ensure timely responses to questions and claim resolution
- Meet or exceed all partner and Companion Protect, LLC standards for timeliness, accuracy, and claims volume
- Create and document processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improved system processes
- Evaluate issues outside the scope of claims responsibility but necessary to the process of payment, directing the issues to the appropriate department with follow-up to ensure resolution of the issue resulting in claim payment
- All other duties as assigned including processing of insurance applications, managing customer failed payments and light technical support to clients
What you’ll bring to the team:
- 3 years’ experience in the Veterinary field or as a Claims Representative
- Experienced in communication with customers via phone, email, chat, or similar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience learning and using new technology
- High school diploma required

- A current property and casualty license
- A current certification as a Veterinary Technician
