Working Arrangement Hybrid Job Description The Manager, Healthcare Strategy and Partnerships is responsible for leading various workstreams supporting the digital and healthcare transformation strategy for the Manulife Group Benefits business in Canada. In this capacity you will conduct research, identify potential partnership opportunities, support partner engagement, partnership concept ideation, and maintain a strategic partner pipeline. You will work collaboratively with various internal functions to gather necessary information and support the implementation of various partnership opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Identify and Research Opportunities: Conduct market research and analysis to identify, qualify and vet potential partnership opportunities in the healthcare sector. Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging healthcare technologies. Support with opportunity analysis and due diligence activities. Partnership Development: Develop and execute a strategic partnership plan that aligns with the Group Benefits healthcare goals and objectives. Support with creation of partnership concept development, partner evaluation and selection criteria Establish and maintain relationships with key health-related companies, including startups, established companies and other external partners. Support with coordinating and implementing new partnerships. Pipeline Management Maintain and actively manage partnership development pipeline. Responsible for tracking, reporting and insights on progress, challenges, and opportunities. Proposal & Business Case Development Support with business need requirements gathering and management by collaborating with internal teams to intake, rationalize, and prioritize needs across the Group Benefits business to inform partnership development actions. Develop and build business cases to support partnership engagements including defining success metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Knowledge/Education/Experience: Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Business Administration or a related field 5 years of experience in strategy and partnership development. Combination of experience working in strategy consulting and industry would be ideal. Strong understanding of the Canadian health innovation landscape - established and emerging players. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management. Primary Location Toronto, Ontario Salary range is expected to be between $82,500.00 CAD - $148,500.00 CAD If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
