In this new role, the copywriter will be responsible for the creation, development and editing a variety of content. Working with team members in all key areas of Envision Group, you’ll have a position on the Creative and Communications teams to develop marketing including campaign guidelines, eBlasts, website copy, social media content, hashtags, SEO and point-of-sale materials. You’re often expected to meet with stakeholders to understand concepts and the call to action, developing content in partnership with the creative team.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with marketing, creative and communications teams to deliver compelling content solutions that keeps messaging concise and error-free while inspiring action.
- Understand goals/message of campaign to craft copy custom for the target audience.
- Research, write, edit and proof all content as requested.
- Create a compelling story for projects & materials as requested.
- Work closely with communications team on large company-wide initiatives to encourage widespread awareness and adoption, and with the creative team to ensure copy and content aligns with design, improving existing content.
- Maintain multiple publications to ensure the portfolio is up-to-date with consistent and accurate information, including proper use of division names and logos.
- Edit all copy for accuracy and grammar, according to AP Style Guidelines.
- Finally, be a storyteller with a good sense of humor who thrives in a dynamic environment and understands the importance of collaboration, deadlines and details.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred plus 2 years as a writer or editor, with an eye for design. Marketing experience is a plus.
- Manage projects with strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask, prioritize and work across multiple teams.
- An excellent communicator with the ability to be a conversational and engaging writer, but also cover technical details.
- A detailed researcher with the ability to break down key information and craft it into easy-to-digest content.
- The ability to deliver a powerful message through few words and strong images is a must.
- A confident contributor who takes initiative and likes a creative challenge.
- Open and receptive to critiques and changes.
- Able to meet a variety of deadlines, and switch gears quickly as needed.
- Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite.
