- We are hiring immediately for an ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER position.
- Location: The Anecdote, 348 Oyster Point Blvd, South San Francisco, CA 94080. Note: online applications accepted only.
- Schedule: Full Time; Monday through Friday, occasional weekends for private events.
- Details: Responsibilities include maintaining the account along with the General Manager in accordance with the approved budget while meeting client expectations. You will conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs while maintaining excellent relationships with employees, guests, and the client as well as other departments within the operation. You will promote the professional growth and development of the entire team. You will be expected to foster strong interdepartmental relations and integrate the dining service department with the facility plan of operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Interviews, hires, trains, and coaches employees and managers. Participates in employee meetings and training programs. Maintains food costs while ensuring quality standards. Manages purchasing and inventory controls. Is knowledgeable on HACCP controls along with proper storage and use of food. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Requirement: Prior management experience required.
- Salary: $75,000-80,000

Job Summary
Summary: As an Assistant General Manager I, you will be responsible for assisting with running the day- to-day food service operation of a medium to large volume location. You will manage and lead a team of associates and oversee quality controls for the account.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with managing food service operations in accordance with the approved budget while providing the client with the maximum value for the dollars spent.
- Ensures the food offered to the client, customers, and employees of the operation is of superior quality.
- Maintains excellent relationships with associates, guests, and client as well as other departments within the operation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of food service management experience.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
- Comprehensive food knowledge.
- Operations management experience with purchasing knowledge.
- Financial experience and business acumen skills.
- ServSafe Certification is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
- Associate’s degree is preferred.
