Registered Nurse - Psychiatric Care Manager with Sign-On Bonus

We are excited to announce a $4,000 sign-on bonus due to the critical service needs of the communities we serve. This full-time position offers a 12-hour weekend option for night shifts. The RN will provide both direct and indirect patient care in a psychiatric setting while upholding the standards of Professional Nursing Practice. As a member of an interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the overall coordination of care and services delivered to clients and will work collaboratively with healthcare team members to provide patient and family education.

This Role Requires Competency In Providing Age-appropriate Care To

• Preadolescents (3-12 years)
• Adolescents (13-17 years)
• Adults (18 years and older), including geriatrics
  
  

Please note that this position is classified as Category I, which may involve tasks with exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. In the absence of available staff, the hospital may require mandated overtime to meet patient care obligations based on the Missouri Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to assigned age groups
• Work with aggressive patients and participate in physical intervention techniques
• Demonstrate physical strength, agility, and endurance for heavy lifting and moving patients and equipment
• Act as a preceptor and educator to new employees
• Participate in mandatory overtime
• Engage in the hospital’s Continuous Quality Improvement Program
• Attend 52 hours of continuing education per year
• Serve as a member of assigned committees
• Demonstrate skills required for a registered nurse within the scope of practice
  
  

Education

• Associate’s degree in nursing required
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  
  

Work Experience

• At least one year of psychiatric experience preferred
  
  

Licensure/Certification

• RN valid in Missouri
