Who We Are:

Compassion Funeral Service is Northern Illinois’ largest mortuary trade / staffing service. We offer a full range of services to support funeral homes and local municipalities with their mortuary needs. Primarily we provide the pick-up and transportation of deceased individuals from their location of death to the location of care. These services are called “Removals”. The services we offer include: removals, transportations, embalming, livery services, funeral assistance, cremation, and much more. We work with a highly diverse group of clients across an eight-county service area around Chicagoland.

Where We Are Located:

Compassion Funeral Service operates primarily in the following eight (8) counties around Chicagoland: McHenry County, Cook County, Lake County, Kane County, Boone County, DeKalb County, DuPage County, and Winnebago County. Our dispatcher roll will be a work at home position.

Full Time Employment Benefits:

Full-Time Definition: Full Time Employment with Compassion Funeral Service requires five (5) days a week. Our dispatchers operate on a flexible eight-hour block schedule. For the particularly motivated professional, there will on occasion be opportunities for overtime.

Job Overview:

Dispatchers will be positioned on the front lines of our operation. Kind, courteous and charismatic individuals will answer the business phone line to intake details, for requested services. Dispatchers must be able to juggle multiple active calls at once while also keeping track of staff locations, timeframes, and customer service. The dispatcher will enter the gathered data into our system and will then relay call details to the on-call staff. Dispatchers will also be responsible for communicating break requests with on call staff while monitoring the logistics of staff in the field.

Qualifications:

1). Excellent customer service skills required. 1-3 years of experience.

2). Proficiency in the English language is necessary in order to communicate effectively, receive and process information.

3). Must have dispatching experience.

4). Must be able to work well under pressure.

5). Must be familiar with the Chicagoland area, for logistics.

6). The employee must be able to adapt to changing situations.
