Veterinary Receptionist/Veterinary assistant
Our busy small animal veterinary clinic is seeking a professional, organized, outgoing individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both individually and in a team environment. Must be able to multi-task. Strong computer and telephone skills are essential. Responsibilities include answering calls on single-line phone system, scheduling appointments, taking precise messages, returning phone calls, checking patients in and out, and cleaning as needed. Some interaction with animals as well. A big part of the job will be clerical/office duties. Previous office or customer service experience preferred. Experience in the veterinary field is helpful but not necessary. The successful applicant will be someone who learns quickly, pays attention to detail, stays calm under stress, and is respectful of chain of command.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM (or later, depending on appointment load). No weekend hours. Eligible for employer cost-shared health benefits at 90 days, as well as non-cost shared dental benefits. Seven paid days off per year eligible after 90 days. 401K with matching available after 90 days.
Pay rate is negotiable, and will depend on applicant's knowledge/experience.
