Salary: $16.50/hr – 21.50/hr

Schedule: Flexible per diem, p/t and f/t available

POSITION DETAILS:

The Youth Engagement Specialist will work with individuals ages 5 to 21 with behavioral health challenges to reduce interpersonal/environmental barriers and improve functioning and integration within their family and community. Services are delivered face to face in 1:1 and group settings using person-centered, recovery-oriented interventions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

· Assist clients in developing goals and objectives that are strength and needs based.

· Engage each client in weekly community-based activities to promote healthy lifestyles and progress towards established goals.

· Link client to other agencies and services as needed.

· Document visits in detailed progress notes.

· Model and educate on self-advocacy and systems navigation.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma/high school equivalency or a State Education Commencement Credential with a minimum of two years’ experience working with children or young adults in mental health or related field, or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services field. Valid driver’s license, safe driving record preferred, and reliable transportation required.
