Competitive Range Solutions requires the expertise of a talented and experienced Network Systems Installation Engineer Lead to assist in the direction and management of program’s executive support group. The candidate must reference their ability and experience in working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment and effective integration with a government multi-contractor team.
The Network Systems Installation Lead functions and responsibilities include elements such as: oversees system installation technicians and IT service jobs; guides projects within the business including project organization, definition, planning, implementation and control, to include quality assurance and installation standardization; supervises operations activities, manages labor utilization and maintains control of purchased services and products; provides pre-sales technical, design and operations support to business development team; determines resource needs and manages program schedules alongside the Project Manager; seeks customer feedback and takes action to ensure customer satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Task Order Manager, having the responsibility of overseeing system installation technicians; mentoring, training and ensuring quality control and installation standardization is understood and followed amongst the team
- Develops, maintains and updates equipment installation guides
- Manages all field operational aspects of ongoing projects
- Acts as the primary point of contact for installation teams assisting with complex IT installations
- Overall daily responsibility for all field personnel, work schedules, technical documentation, field status reports, etc
- Responsible for mentoring and training field installation technicians, work assignment management, performance assessment and recognition/disciplinary actions
- Identify risks and mitigate appropriately/timely
- Ensures the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with field technicians, project team and clients
- Ensures production schedules are met or exceeded
- Ensures proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services and deliverables
- Supervises all applicable field operations as well as ensures performance compliance in accordance with contract specified terms, conditions, standards and deliverables
- Prioritize efforts to ensure successful client outcome
- Uses strong planning and organizational skills to ensure timely completion of all milestones and efforts with minimal client disruption
- Provides proactive and responsive customer focused leadership, reaching back to corporate resources to mitigate risks and resolve any issues that may arise
- Provides field escalation point of contact for all field personnel
- Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical executives and managers
Qualifications/Experience:
- At least 10 years of relevant IT Services and Installation experience
- At least 2 years of relevant PM experience across the entire project life cycle
- Experience working with DoD is desired but not required
- Related industry experience in field installation or engineering
- Working knowledge Microsoft Office Tools; specifically, Excel and Project
- Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills
- Minimum SECRET clearance required
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Degree in a technical discipline is desired but not required
- Must be familiar with ANSI/TIA standards
