NOW HIRING:

Maintenance Director: Full Time

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Director:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure the facility's infrastructure, equipment, and systems are in optimal working condition.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of performance.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Collaborate with other departments to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to daily operations.
• Manage the maintenance budget, including cost estimation, budget forecasting, and expense control, to optimize resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
• Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for maintenance activities, negotiating contracts and agreements when necessary.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce the likelihood of breakdowns.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations promptly, coordinating with relevant parties to resolve issues efficiently.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in maintenance management.

Qualifications for a Maintenance Director:

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living facility.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations related to facility maintenance.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
